SALOME

Salome

cocktail bar

There are some places that don’t need much to have character. Salome, the new bar in Skala, is one of them.

It opened this summer on Konsolato beach, right next to the Tsipouradiko, and seems to have been created with that passion that makes a place feel personal from the very first moment. The interior is small and cosy, whilst outside the tables are spread out on the sand, literally reaching right down to the water’s edge. From 7.00 pm, when it opens every day, Salome takes on its own evening rhythm and looks forward to introducing you to it.

It’s the ideal spot for an aperitif whilst waiting for your table at the Tsipouradiko, but also a destination in its own right for a drink by the sea. And perhaps, for some, the perfect final drink on Patmos: the ferry passes right in front of the Consulate and moors almost right next to it, making the departure part of the experience itself.

With the sea literally right at the edge of the tables, Salome doesn’t try to impress. It already has the charm of a small, unpretentious summer spot — the sort of place where you easily end up saying ‘let’s just pop in for one’ and then stay for a little while, or even much longer!
