



Texni-Art Patmos
The Texni-Art Patmos Association is the creation of Barbara Hoffmann, an actress and director, who has been permanently settled in Patmos since 1992. Barbara Hoffmann studied at Munich’s famous Otto-Falckenberg Schule and has performed many different roles in Germany.
At the same time, she studied acting at Tania Balachova’s school in Paris and became a member of Andreas Voutsinas’ Actor Studio. In 1972, he founded the theatre company “Compagnie de l’Araignee” and organised European theatre seminars for teachers under the auspices of the Academy of Versailles, Créteil and Sorbonne.
She then founded the “Compagnie Barbara Hoffmann”, with the aim of making previously unknown playwrights known. Her work was supported by the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Education and the Municipality of Paris, the Department Hautes – des Seine, DRAC and ADAMI. In France she directed a total of 17 plays in which she also acted.
Since 1994 he has been directing one or two theatrical performances every year on the island of Patmos with amateur actors. Since 2005 he has been collaborating with Till Sterzenbach and among their most important productions in Greece was “The Vision of Patmos”, with excerpts from the Book of Revelation of St. John. In recent years, the Texni-Art Patmos Association has presented a total of 28 theatrical works.
