The Patmos of Colours
Patmos of Colours is a non-profit organization founded in 2001, with the aim of giving the children of Patmos access to art and culture. This effort was started by a small group of parents who were interested in providing quality education to their children and to this day the responsibility of running the association is in the hands of a Volunteer Committee.
With faith in principles that supporting the artistic practice from an early age ends up being a force for social cohesion, solidarity and a key component for the education and preparation of each generation, Patmos of Colours has a number of diverse educational activities and events to show. Today, its programmes are aimed at both children and adults and include music lessons (piano, violin, guitar, Orff, choir), crafts and arts workshop, sewing, creative writing, theatre workshop, photography and many others.
The funding for the operation and the work of Patmos of Colours is based exclusively on donations and the symbolic participation of the participants in the association’s programmes. At the same time, the association itself is close to and ready to offer its financial and technical support, to the extent of its possibilities, to any children’s or youth effort and initiative.
