Koukoumavla*, also known as Despina, has her little shop of Miracles, as she calls it, high up in Hora and specifically in the old market behind Loza. Despite its small dimensions, it hides a whole fancy and dreamy world inside, the world of Koukoumavla!

Despina is one of the most special personas you will meet on the island, as she sees the world through her own fairy-tale eyes and in this way she recreates it in her constructions. Her hands are busy with various things, with painting, with jewellery, with various gifts, with figures large and small, with aprons and t-shirts, most of them painted with her special characters.

You will also find many books in her shop, but she does not consider the shop of Miracles to be a bookstore! She simply collects here what she considers important and wants to make you her companions, welcoming you into her space as if it were her home, with the desire to introduce you to her world. As she says, her doors are open to people without time. To all those who might wake up today and be 5 years old and the next day be 605!

*Κουκουμάβλα στην πατινιώτικη διάλεκτο αποκαλείται η Κουκουβάγια, χρησιμοποιείται όμως μεταφορικά, προς κάποιον που λέει ανυπόστατα πράγματα: "μη λες κουκουμάβλες"!
