The tavern “Flisvos” comes from a time of innocence of the island, when grandfather Kyriakos Vamvakos built it in 1959 without even having a road in the area! From then, it was passed on to his children in 1980 and now to his grandchildren, defining what we would call a completely family business. And that’s exactly the feeling you get here, home cooked food or roasts of the hour, friendly treatment and prices just as they should be. The experience of eating at the welcoming yard is like being welcomed into the backyard of their home.

The picture is completed by the unparalleled view of the bay of Grikos, Tragonisi and the rock of Kalikatzou. The ideal time is at dusk, when the colours sweeten and will accompany your meal with an idyllic atmosphere. Some of the most famous and beloved dishes you will find here are the drunken chickpeas in the oven with rosemary, the traditional moussaka and the lemon roast goat in the oven.

Flisvos has quite steady customers-friends and one of the many reasons is the unique music nights on Saturdays in the summer. So every Saturday you will find here Sarantis, Kyriakos, Valantis and George, to accompany you with interesting Greek music. The endless repertoire of Kyriakos, makes various passages from classical rebetika, to old and more modern folk, from artful to traditional, creating authentic fun and often tying everyone in a common company!
