The “Patmos Music Festival” is preparing to raise the curtain on 26 August!

Internationally renowned musicians and ensembles have been invited to perform a wide range of works from the Renaissance to the present day. The Festival as a whole is under the auspices of UNESCO.

The big innovation is that from this year, the 3rd Chamber Music Festival and the 22nd Religious Music Festival are coming under the same organisation under the general title “Patmos Music Festival”. The 3rd Chamber Music Festival will take place from 26th to 31st August and the 22nd Religious Music Festival from 1st to 6th September.

The Patmos Chamber Music Festival, is organized on the island for the third year by the Italian Association Associazione Patmos Music Festival. Also important this year is the presence of one of Europe’s most famous chamber orchestras, the Brussels Chamber Orchestra, which will be the main act in the concerts of 29 and 31 August, together with violinist and conductor Michael Guttman, always in combination with some of the great soloists who are on the island for the festival, such as pianists Alessandra Ammara, Maya Oganyan, trumpeter Andreu Vidal Siquier, flutist Andrea Oliva, cellist Anush Nikogosyan and the great Chinese cello virtuoso Jing Zhao.

The concerts of the Chamber Music Festival will take place in the square of Agia Diasozousa in Hora, at the Old Primary School of Hora and in the courtyard of the Primary School of Skala. Entrance is free, but it is important not to neglect to make reservations in advance:
