Patmos paths
Patmos has a rich network of old paths that connect the settlements with each other and with the monastery, as well as the many seats and hermitages.
The HELLENIC SOCIETY for Environment & Culture, in cooperation with the Municipality of Patmos and the participation of the schools of the island, has implemented the program “Cultural Paths”, with the selection and marking of a series of routes, offering the visitor the opportunity to discover the beauties of the island.
A considerable amount of research in contact with historians and folklorists, foreign and local, led to the first 8 routes. These routes are marked with natural and durable materials and are waiting for you to discover and walk them.
Ideal periods are from September to early summer, when temperatures are not high and nature is at its best, full of colours and aromas.
