The port of Patmos is Skala, which is located in the center of the island and is accessed from the east. It is a well-sheltered natural fjord that offers protection from all winds except those from the southeast. <\/p>

The available berths for private boats are located in the inner part of the harbor, in the northern section, where you will find water and electricity hookups. Unfortunately, it is not possible to reserve berths in advance, so if you need further assistance regarding where to moor, you should call the Port Authority<\/a> or the A1 Yachting<\/a> agent. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

In the same northern part of the harbor, there is limited space to moor alongside, although this is not a recommended option, mainly due to the traffic and the narrowness of the area, which often leads to problems with anchors. Alternatively, for larger vessels, there is again the option of mooring just before the harbor entrance and to the right of it, all the way to the small cove of Aspri. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The next safe option in terms of weather is the large bay of Groikos. It is located in the southern part of the island, behind the islet of Tragos or Tragonisi. Here you will once again moor your boat under an informal \u201ccontrolled\u201d parking arrangement at the numerous existing mooring points. In Groikos Bay, a small settlement about 4 km by road from the port of Skala, you\u2019ll find plenty of options for coffee and food. <\/p>

Alternatively, you can anchor at the leeward point\u2014except when the wind is from the south\u2014just behind Cape Tragos.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

At the head of Groikos Bay and a little further south, in the Diakofti area, you\u2019ll find the Patmos Marine facilities, in case you need minor or major repairs. You can also leave your boat there\u2014regardless of size\u2014for storage during the winter. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
