From 27 August to 8 September 2026, the Stavrakas House in \u0397ora, Patmos, is hosting a photography exhibition by V\u00e9ronique de Folin, entitled \u2018Patmos, the Land of Light\u2019. The exhibition, co-organised by Robert A. McCabe, invites visitors to see Patmos through a different, deeply observant lens. <\/p>\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n

Light lies at the heart of this photographic work \u2014 not only as a natural element, but as a vehicle for revelation, memory and spiritual experience. The landscape, the village and the monastery are constantly transformed as the hours of the day, the seasons and the lighting conditions change. Thus, even the island\u2019s most familiar landmarks take on a new dimension and present themselves to the viewer as visual experiences that are different each time. <\/p>\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n

Robert A. McCabe, an internationally renowned photographer and a friend and colleague of de Folin\u2019s, highlights in his foreword her meticulous attention to detail and the particular sensitivity with which she organises her compositions, balancing form, shape and light. For him, her photographs are not merely snapshots, but carefully crafted works of art, full of precision and poetry. <\/p>\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n

The exhibition is enriched by a work by McCabe himself and is dedicated to him, highlighting the two artists\u2019 deep shared love for Patmos, its unique light and its spiritual and cultural heritage.<\/p>\n\n

The opening will take place on 27 August at 8.00 pm, and the exhibition will be open daily from 7.00 pm to 10.00 pm, with free admission.<\/p>\n\n
