Laertes is a unique 12-meter boat that adorns the sea of Patmos and not only. It counts more than 100 years of life and sailed to Greece from the distant Scandinavia where it was built. Its original owner, a lover of Mediterrenean and especially of Patmos, came many years ago to our country and based on the island, he sailed the entire Aegean Sea.

When he felt his strength fading, he entrusted his boat to Sarantis, its current captain and owner, who fell in love with it from the very first sight. Since then he is sailing it, maintaining and improve it with much love and care, and every summer he makes it available for hire to selected “friends”.

Daily boat trips to Patmos and the wider area of Arki, Lipsi etc. are in any case a unique experience. But this experience acquires a completely special dimension when accompanied by the duo Laertes and Sarantis.

Captain Sarantis is an experience in himself, full of stories from his travels around the world, interesting adventures and always ready to convey the joy of life. If he is even in the mood, along with his lunch and drinks, he will even play something for you, as music is probably his most important passion.
