VOTRIS

Votris

restaurant

Votris in botany means a bunch of grapes, especially that of the grape. The area around and above the baptistery of John the Baptist in Skala was also called Votris. Argiro and Theologos named their beautiful terrace Votris as well, since it is located next to this area. In their veranda they are waiting for you in order to introduce you to the world of their flavors, with the fresh ingredients offered by their kitchen.

Theologos has been in the restaurant business for several years, but in 2015 he took the decision with Argiro to create their own place, setting their own rules and that’s how Votris was born. These rules are simple and boil down to three main points: love for what they do, offering hospitality and creating dishes with character. Their decision has vindicated them completely, as already in the first year of operation they managed to stand out and become one of the reference restaurants on the island.

It is no coincidence that Votris is considered as the first restaurant in our country that officially joined the Slow Food family, as its menu uses raw materials and recognized local products that are part of the global ark of flavors supported by this movement.

On the terrace of Votris, apart from the special flavours, you will have the opportunity to enjoy a variety of wines that will match the dishes of your choice, a friendly, almost family service from all the staff and a wonderful view of the entire bay of Skala up to the Monastery in Hora.
